Curtis Powell is a Senior Vice President of Business Development at nFusion Capital, responsible for cultivating and maintaining client and referral relationships in the construction industry across the United States to support business development efforts and ensure alignment with business objectives. A highly motivated individual and a natural leader, he has a proven ability to solve complex cash flow challenges for clients. Over his career he has consistently earned top sales performance status, exceeding sales targets while providing strategic leadership for overall operations. He will be headquartered in our Knoxville, TN office.

Prior to joining nFusion, Powell was Executive Vice President for CapitalPlus Financial Services, where he spearheaded the firm’s growth into a significant player in the construction finance industry. He also led the development and implementation of process improvements that resulted in a remarkable 250% increase in sales in two years while managing and training a high performing business development team.

Powell is involved in several industry associations, including serving as a Board Member of SFNet. He is also an active member of SFNet’s Mid-South Chapter, the International Factoring Association, and the Turnaround Management Association. In his downtime he enjoys coaching his son and daughter’s Little League and basketball teams, as well as coaching at his local high school.

Preceding his finance career, Powell was a professional baseball player with the Detroit Tigers where he honed strong leadership and interpersonal skills, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, goal setting, and achieving collective success. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Georgia.
